Each heartbeat is preceded by an electrical impulse that can be recorded on the body’s surface over time. An EKG provides valuable information about the heart’s electrical activity, helping us detect any potential disturbances or heart diseases early on. Blood pressure (RR, after Riva-Rocci) gives insights into the pressure within the vessels and heart chambers, providing important information about the cardiovascular system.
We offer the following technology-assisted cardiovascular examinations at our practice:
Ultrasound uses sound waves to create detailed images of internal organs and blood vessels. This non-invasive method allows for safe examination without radiation exposure.
In my practice, I use ultrasound to examine the following organ systems:
Individual Health Services (IGeL) are additional medical tests that go beyond standard insurance coverage. They provide valuable insights into health risks and the current state of health, even in the absence of acute illness, and are available as private services.
Vaccinations play an important role in the prevention of infectious diseases.
Booster vaccinations should be carried out regularly in adults, especially if no basic immunisation is present. This applies in particular to vaccines such as diphtheria and tetanus, which are recommended every 10 years.
In addition, there are so-called indication-based vaccinations, which are advisable for certain age groups, people with underlying conditions or those at increased risk:
Influenza (flu): annual vaccination for everyone aged 60 and older, as well as for pregnant women, people with chronic diseases and healthcare personnel.
COVID-19: annual booster vaccination for people aged 60 and older, residents of nursing homes, individuals with increased risk (e.g. chronic illness, immunosuppression), as well as healthcare and nursing staff.
RSV (respiratory syncytial virus): standard vaccination for all individuals aged 75 and older; also recommended for those aged 60 and older with relevant underlying conditions (e.g. heart or lung disease) or other increased risk.
Pneumococcal disease: standard vaccination for all people aged 60 and older.
Other indication-based vaccinations include tick-borne encephalitis (TBE), Haemophilus influenzae type B (Hib), hepatitis A and B, rabies, meningococcal disease, poliomyelitis, varicella (chickenpox), rubella, and pertussis (whooping cough).
We will soon offer a new program in orthomolecular, preventive and longevity medecine to nourish the body with nutrients to slow down the aging process and promote health.
Longevity medicine opens new perspectives for staying healthy while aging.
Among innovative approaches, targeted vitamin therapy plays a key role by providing cells with the nutrients they need to function optimally, strengthen immunity, and prevent age-related imbalances.
At the same time, red light therapy boosts cellular energy and promotes tissue repair. Already widely used to improve skin quality and accelerate wound healing, this gentle method also shows promising benefits for supporting memory and brain health.
By combining vitamin therapy and photobiomodulation, longevity medicine offers safe and modern solutions to support healthy aging, enhance well-being, and preserve vitality every day.
